This panorama features the Blue Jackets on their home ice in Columbus, Ohio. The Blue Jackets name was selected as it pays homage to Ohio’s contributions to American history, especially during the Civil War, when Ohio contributed more of its population to the Union Army than any other state. Many of the Blue Coats worn by the Union soldiers were manufactured in Columbus. In keeping with this proud heritage, prior to the start of the 2007–08 season, a hand-made replica 1857 Napoleon cannon was brought into the arena and a tradition was born to "fire" the cannon whenever the Blue Jackets take the ice at the start of the game, score a goal and win the game.Panoramics are 13.5"x40".
